Rent increase rates are set once per year, meaning you’ll know your rent up to 12 months before your renewal. Rents will increase by the greater of 3% OR the previous calendar year’s Consumer Price Index (CPI). That means a reasonable rate you’ll know ahead of time, not days before your paperwork is due.
